Meet our nurse, Catherine!

We'd like to introduce our newest member to the Vivo Family Medicine team, Catherine!  Catherine has extensive experience as a nurse within a retirement centre as well as in a fertility clinic.  We are delighted to have Catherine on our team.  We sat down with Catherine to ask her a few questions!

1.  How did you become an RPN?

I studied at Seneca college located in King City, where I studied at Markham-Stoufville Hospital and a few long-term care facilities. Once I graduated, I then worked in home care, retirement homes, fertility care and some long term care facilities closer to home.

2. What do you enjoy about your job?

I adore the people I work with like Dr Kadhim, Brittany, Maya and Mary! Each one is kind, patient and honest down to the bone. I get to learn about their talents and interests. Plus I get to meet a variety of new people and hope to make their day a little better.

3. What excites you about working in Toronto, in particular, the Upper Beaches neighborhood?

The Beaches community is amazing. Everyone seems to know each other! It feels like a big loving family. I can’t help but mention the beauty of the beach line when you look down to the south. Rain or shine, it’s breathtaking. You also cannot ignore the delicious foods all around!

4. What is one thing you would like to share with your patients?

I do not judge, I'm all ears. I am an expert at listening, do not be embarrassed or afraid to let me know what going on. The sooner we know as a team, the sooner we can work on making an improvement on your life.

We are so pleased to have Catherine on our team.  Catherine is well equipped to provide many services for patients, including providing vaccinations, performing medical procedures such as ear syringing, and withdrawing blood samples.

Welcome Catherine!
